The current study examined the relationships between different leadership
styles and decision-making styles in principals of public schools. Three
research questions were created to guide the research. Does any particular
leadership style dominate among school principals? Does any particular
decision making style dominate among principals? Is there is a correlation
between decision making styles and leadership style among school principals
in this study? The study consisted of 150 principals from a Jordanian School
District. Out of the 150, 108 actually returned the questionnaires, and these
included 48 females and 60 males. The results of the study conclude that no
relationship exists between the decision making style and leadership style of
principals. Constituency-Centered Administration was dominant among
principals, and directive decision making style was dominant among
principals. Moving forward, it would be a good idea to narrow the study by
putting a limit on the number of participants included in the study
